ABOUT US

The Rotary Club of Southampton West is a small friendly club formed in 1970.

 The Club currently has 29 members, whose projects raise in excess of £7,000 annually in support of local good causes.

Countess Mountbatten Hospice

    Piam Brown children's oncology ward

Top Fund Raise Award

 A 'Top Fund raiser' certificate was presented to our S.W. Rotary Club at a recent meeting in recognition of our various fund raising project  supporting the Countess Mountbatten Hospice

 
New associate members

Become an Associate Member of Rotary

   Southampton West Rotary Club has introduced Associate Membership for those people with limited time but with a desire to join an international organisation which puts something back into society, at local, national and international level.

   There is no subscription nor membership fee payable during the first two years. 

    An associate member is entitled to attend the club’s social and lunch meetings, and join in any charitable activities as and when you can afford the time, 

We meet weekly for a reasonably priced meal at The Concorde, Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh.

  There are currently six Associate members,

Norman invasion of Australia 

 

Mary and Norman invaded Australia, but were captured to help out at an Australian Rotary event - Mary manned a stall and Norman gers.

Nigel becomes a 'Saint"

This month saw Secretary Nigel Riches being unknowingly recognised as a 'Saint' - fallen or otherwise. 

AUGUST

Members gather to mourn the passing of Fred Effigy, who ducked out at the Cedar School Fair..

Fred, along with common sense, will be sadly missed.

Farewell poor Fred, I knew him well.
